For owner-managed businesses
At what age does your money run out?
Most accountants tell you what your business did last quarter. We will show you what it means for you: how long your savings, your pension and the sale of your business will actually last, and the handful of changes that move it.
Ninety minutes. No charge for the first one. Knutsford, or online.

You get management accounts. You understand them. You file them.
What you do not get is the answer to the question you actually have, which is whether any of it is working fast enough for the life you were planning.
That question has an answer. It just needs the business and your own position to be looked at in the same conversation, which is the one thing that never happens.
What we do
One meeting a quarter. Your numbers on the screen. One thing to do.
We build the picture
Your quarterly figures go into a model that runs them forward, values the business, and takes it all the way through to your own bank account. Nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is stored outside your own file.
We drive it in front of you
Prices up five per cent. One more person in the team. Sell at 62 instead of 65. The answer moves on the screen while you are still asking the question.
You leave with one action
Not a list. One thing, in your words, with a date. We open the next meeting by asking whether it happened.
Your money runs out at 78. You wanted90.
That is a twelve year gap, and you have time to close it. We will show you what moves it: your prices, your costs, when you sell, what you take out of the business and how, what a buyer would pay and what would make them pay more.
And if it turns out you are already covered well past where you wanted to be, we will tell you that too. That is a good morning's work as well.
What is behind it
Why you can trust the number
We are putting one figure in front of you and asking you to make decisions on it, so it is fair to ask how we know it is right. Three answers.
The tax is worked out twice
Every tax calculation is done a second time, separately, and the two are compared. If they ever disagree, we know about it long before you see a figure. It is the same instinct as checking a set of accounts twice, applied to the model.
The rates are this year's
Every rate and threshold is held in one place and updated the day a Budget changes it, so the whole picture moves at once. No stale figures hiding in the middle of it.
Your figures stay yours
The model runs on our own machines and keeps your numbers in your own file. Nothing is uploaded anywhere, there is no account for anybody to get into, and nobody outside the room sees them. That is why we can put your real figures on the screen rather than a rounded version of them.
What a quarter looks like

Who it is for
Who this suits, and who it does not
This is for you if
- You own most or all of a UK limited company.
- Turnover is somewhere between £500,000 and £10m.
- You have thought about stopping, or selling, and never had the conversation properly.
- You want a conclusion rather than more information.
This is not for you if
- You want the cheapest possible compliance.
- You are pre-revenue or pre-profit.
- You would rather not know the answer.

Founder & Managing Partner
I qualified with KPMG in 1990 and I have been in practice for thirty years. In that time I have taken clients from a first invoice through to multi-million pound exits, and the conversation that changed the most for them was never about the accounts. It was the one where we put the business and their own position on the same page and worked out what it actually added up to. That is the conversation this is built for.
